Last Saturday, October 26th we held our annual Halloween Party! It was held at Metropolitan Grill and Pat decked out the appetizers! DJ CEO had the beats bumping all night long. And the Halloween costumes were awesome! We put a few hours into building a small version of a haunted hause/creepy walk through. We hope all of the guests enjoyed it. Jeffrey Sweet was there with his camera to capture a few memories! Hopefully you got to make it out, but if you missed it here are a few pictures of our haunted house! Add darkness, strobe lights and fog and it was quite creepy in there! Who knows....you might see us throw another awesome party again next year!!

2nd Annual Monster Mash Halloween Party

What are you doing this Saturday night?? Its that spooky time of year that we call Halloween and we are throwing another Halloween Party! You should make plans to be there! It will be held at Metropolitan Grill this Saturday, October 26th at 9pm. What should you expect?? Appetizers made by the famous Pat Duran, a spooky haunted walk through and music by DJ CEO!!! There is a cover: $5 in costume & $10 no costume Why should you dress up???? We will be giving away $1000 in prizes for best costumes! Cattle Barons Ball 2013

We had the opportunity to sponsor a FANTASTIC event this past weekend! We were honored to be a part of the 2013 Cattle Barons Ball. It was held on Saturday August 17th at the Pinegar Arena in Springfield! We were the Valet Sponsor for the night. As all attendees picked up their car at the end of the night they were sent away with a Thompson Coffee Tumbler and a Thompson Lighted Key Chain! Not only did we have a great time but it was also a great charity event! The American Cancer Society raises a lot of money every year at this event for research and to help patients right here in our area! It doesn't get better than that! If you have never been to this event, you should make plans to attend next year! You wont regret it!

We recommend going to YouTube and looking up Preston Leatherman, he has a lot of these videos. Since we fell in love with them, we decided to make our own version here at Thompson today! Tire Maintenance...Keeping You Rolling!

It doesn't matter how well you maintain the rest of your car. You won't be going anywhere if you don't take good care of the tires, too. Here's a little about what you need to know so passing the miles won't leave you feeling deflated. Maintaining air pressure in your tires is an easy way to keep them in shape. Properly inflated tires help improve gas mileage and vehicle handling, and reduce your risk of accidents. Every vehicle is different when it comes to air pressure, so read your owner's manual to know what your tires need. Don't forget the spare. Regular rotation is another way to extend the life of your tires. Front and rear tires wear because of the driving maneuvers you perform. Moving the front tires to the rear helps equalize the wear on the tread. Consult your owner's manual again for information on how often your tires need rotating, or follow the standard rule of about 5,000 to 10,000 miles between rotations. You should also periodically have a professional check your car's tire alignment. This ensures the tires point the right direction and are positioned at proper angles. You can lose tire alignment simply by hitting a pothole. Without correction, tires wear unevenly. If your vehicle doesn't seem to be handling as well as it should, or if you know you've hit an obstacle in the road, it might not hurt to have your alignment checked. These steps will all help you get the most out of your tires, but eventually, you'll need to buy new ones. You can use a penny to determine whether your tires worn out. Place President Lincoln's head into the tread groove. If part of his head is covered by tread, your tires still have enough tread. If all of his head is visible, it's time for new tires.

417 List Party

On February 28th we hosted the 417 Annual List Party. Approximately 1,080 invitations were sent out for the event. It was a huge party. Our dealership showroom was transformed into a real night life spot. Downhome Productions came in for set up two days early. They put up a lot of lighting, constructed a balloon drop and turned our new car tower into an all out stage. Lounge furniture was brought in along with cocktail tables. Attendees were greeted at the front door by an ice sculpture of a Cadillac CTS. WOW! Ocean Zen, Santa Fe Grill, Jimm's Steakhouse and Nonna's made sure everyone had their bellies full of delicious food. There was a red carpet area to get your picture taken with a Brand New Cadillac ATS. On top of all of that, the balloon drop had a few prizes in it. Two lucky winners received $750 VISA gift cards, three winners received $100 to the Thompson Service Department and four winners received $50 gift cards to the Thompson Quick Lube Department. The party lasted from 6-8pm. There were over 350 attendees. Everyone walked away with a custom Thompson glass. The big question on everyone's mind is, "how do I get on the list?" 2013 Business After Hours Event

On January 10th of this year we held our second Springfield Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event here at the dealership. We really enjoyed networking with all of the business that came by for a bit. We had about 350 people here this year, increased from last year. Even with the pouring down rain! It was a good night for us to showcase the look of the new dealership and introduce ourselves and our brands to people who may not have known otherwise. We want to thank Pat with Metropolitan Grill for the delicious food, Connie Kraven from Acacia Spa for the relaxing chair massages and Shawn Eckles for his wonderful music. All of these things together made for a night to remember! We hope each and every one of you enjoyed yourselves and will think of us when it is time to buy that bright new shiny car! Starting 2013 the Thompson Way!

With 2012 behind us, we are excited for the new year. Our building got a makeover both inside and outside last year. Our service drive has been updated and is now state of the art. Absolutely beautiful. Our showroom has had a facelift as well, the front desk is breath taking. And most importantly our exterior is completly new! We've switched from blue and red to black and white, much more modern. Our custom eyebrow, better known as the arch at the front of the building, is the biggest in the nation. Yep, I said nation! Now that is something to come check out! Without going into to many details....come see our new dealership! Although we changed the look of the whole place one thing we did not change is the way we do business. Our number one goal here is still to keep you, the customer our number one priority.
